Their corrosion resistance is also very good, assuming comparable levels of Chromium, Molybdenum and Nitrogen in selected compositions. One important advantage over austenitic stainless steels is their resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Yet they are significantly more cost effective, and less prone to price variability, due to their lower nickel content.

Type 321 is similar to type 304 stainless but with a titanium addition of at least five times the carbon content.

This alloy was designed for applications in high temperature industrial environments where good resistance to the combined effects of carburization and thermal cycling are required, such as the heat treat industry. Carburization and oxidation resistance to about 2100°F are enhanced by the silicon content of the alloy.

Titanium alloys are widely used because of their exceptional strength to weight ratio, compared to steel or aluminium. Titanium alloys also have excellent corrosion resistance and are therefore used regularly in seawater conditions. There are over 50 grades of titanium available, each having its own unique properties and applications.

Waspaloy UNS N07001 also known as Waspaloy Alloy, Available in Screws, Hex Head Screws, Set Screws, Nuts, Bolts, Nails, Special Screws, Studs, Fasteners, Threaded Bars, Plates, Sheets, Tubes, Pipes, Tubing, Round Bars, Flat Bars, Bars Hexagonals, Flanges, Valves, Inserts in Graphite Sheets, is an age hardening nickel base superalloy with useful strength at temperatures up to 1400-1600°F, and good oxidation resistance in gas turbine engine atmospheres up to 1600°F. The creep-rupture strength of Waspaloy is superior to that of alloy 718 at temperatures above 1150-1200°F. Short time hot tensile strength is inferior to alloy 718 at temperatures up to 1350°F.
